K and a Bewildered American

Onto more sobering events, in reference to last night�s entry�I finally went to sleep again around five a.m. this morning only to awake to stumble through my third presentation in three days. Afterwards, we congratulated ourselves for a job well-done and there were no surprises other than the people who we thought were going to be thorns in our sides � it�s just in their personality. Nothing will make them happy.

After yesterday�s luncheon, my female co-worker spoke in a sing-song tone, �K like you. K likes you.� K being the legislative assistant. Funny, no matter how old you are, school yard antics come into play ��first comes love, then comes marriage�� Yes, mature frank approaches to relationships only exist on the silver screen.

K and I tried to make small talk amongst our bosses but quickly found it difficult to express an interest. Upon returning to my office, I initiated an email �conversation� through a feigned excuse of design issues. Quickly, the responses moved to personal questions and observations. So, I wish I could say something is progressing but I doubt it because she is now leaving on vacation.

Otherwise, what gives New Orleans? Look at your cousin�s behavior, New York, as to how they dealt with disasters! Don�t shoot people, helicopters and boats which are trying to come help and save you. New Yorkers should be extremely proud as to how they held their shit together and helped one another during a crisis. They not only did it on 9-11
but also during the subsequent black-out.

I�m bewildered�shooting a National Guardsman ??? Christ, we got soldiers in Iraq trying to get home and you�re shooting a soldier on his home soil! You call yourself an American?
