Tax Man Encourages Hobbies?

After using my turbo tax and learning that I could write-off hobbies, I'm starting a new blog on a different site where I hope to earn some money with advertising. If lucky enough, I may be able to write-off internet access, computer equipment, running shoes, clothes, trips, etc. However, I an income stream is important though for a write-off.

Currently, I have a few entries but must find time this week-end to discover a new template and upload photos.
